The Big News....Again

So, I am still excited to share the big news, but I have decided that it might not be good to share this big news here.

I have 2 options available to me: 1. Do not share news on internet at all.
2. Move my blog.

Since option 1 would be way too hard for me, I have decided to go with number 2.

About the New Job

Week 1 of the new job is done. I really like it so far and the staff has a great sense of humor. Sometimes they can be a bit crude, but it's a very womanly crude. I like our mission and the cause is a bit new to me. I realize I have a lot to learn about it. Thats all this week.

Jobs, Birthdays

1) I got the job which is very surprising to me when I consider the interview. I have mixed feelings about it, but I know I need to work until I figure out what I want to do next.

2) F's birthday is Monday! I love birthdays. I still haven't gotten him anything yet, but I hope I can come up with something special.

Not Counting On That Job

Well, I spent 35 minutes at an interview and I was only asked 1 question. Im not counting on getting that job. Honestly, it was one of the more unusual interviews I had been on. However it was not nearly interesting as the interview for the cosmetic counter position. Anyway, I guess I need to keep looking.

Job Interview Today

I have a job interview at 2:00 today. I have mixed feelings. The job sounds very rewarding, but rewarding jobs often are not very financially rewarding jobs. It is only part-time also. The position is for a Victim's Advocate in a local domestic abuse/crisis hotline program. I will have more later.

Left Work For Eye Dr. Visit and Never Went Back

Ok, not my finest moment, but I am sure it will not be my worst. This past Friday I left my full-time job to go to the eye dr at 9:25 AM and didn't go back. It is Monday evening and I still haven't went back.

This is not my normal behavior. Even if I don't like my job I always give a 2 week notice, but that is courtesy, right?
It wasn't the most courtious workplace.
Plus, I hadn't been there 6 months yet. They could very easily fire me without any warning at this point. At-will employment can very possibly go both ways. This time it did.

An Ex-vegetarian

After 9 years of strict vegetarianism I have went back to eating meat. I do not care for seafood or beef. However, I do sometimes like poultry and pork. I should point out that I was dogma-free vegetarian. I had no real strong beliefs keeping me to the diet. I am not sure how long I will remain a meat eater--maybe another month, maybe forever. I don 't know why I decided to make this change, but it wasn't an easy one. I considered it for several weeks before deciding to try meat again. I don't think any vegetarian should taking the return to eating meat lightly. For many people the decision to be vegetarian is not only a diet. Many people feel their vegetarianism is a reflection of who they are, their determination and beliefs. It is important to be cautious before returning to eating meat.

Saturday Night at the Fair

Yesterday The BF and I went to Oxford to pick up stuff, but after that we headed to the Preble County Fair. It was a nice evening. We looked at some animals, 4-H projects and then went to the demolition derby. After that he got a sandwich and I got an orange float.

Madison, Indiana

Saturday The BF and I went to Madison, Indiana. It is a really unique place that has small shops filled with candy, jewelry, crafts and other speciality goods. We parked the car and walked the streets. I really enjoyed the day spent with The BF and Madison.
However, before we arrived there we had quite the scare. We almost ran out of gas going country roads that were winding and mostly uphill. Every town we passed through at one point had gas stations, but had since been closed down. We finally found a gas station, but not before we drove several miles on empty.

Anyway, here are some pictures:

They are cut off because of the blog.
