So, this past week I turned 21. My family went out for dinner on Friday night. It was nice. I got my first legal drink, a Bahama Mama.
The week itself hadn't went well at all. But at least everything is wrapping up. It makes me sad that summer has went by without any summer activities. I feel like its winter, but hot. (Work with me) Because in the winter I have school and stay at home. Anyway, the point is, I am 21.

My Job
Position: Glorified Babysitter
I work at a gym watching kids while their parents workout. The idea was that I have activities and games to do when the kids get there. But when the kids are between the ages of 2 and 10 the age difference really hinders anything happening the way it should. If I find something for the older kids then the younger kids can't do it. If I find something the younger kids can do then the older kids are bored.
Meanwhile, there are gymnastics classes and people playing basketball around us. The little ones want to run over there and play. The older kids are interrupting the games and throwing balls towards the gymnastics mats. If I ask the kids to play nicely or stop something disruptive they roll their eyes and ignore me. I never wanted to be a babysitter. Never ever. It really isnt even a very safe environment.
So my classes are will be the same time I work this job. I asked my boss if there was any other position I could work. She filled the jobs in the gym, but there maybe some hours as a receptionist. It makes me mad because she knew I wanted more hours and she filled the other part-time jobs. I have never done anything wrong at this job. I am always on time. I haven't called in. Of course, I have only been there a month and a half, but a lot of 20 year olds would have already been acting stupid.

My friend's boyfriend
Meg's parents have been out of town. She asked me to stay there with her. So I did. She also asked her new boyfriend if he wanted to come. For the last three days I have had to listen to him say cheesy lines and talk about sex practically all the time. I am surprised I am here to make this post. I was considering smothering myself. Just kidding :) Well, kidding a little.
Meg seems to be happy though. It was just proof that everyone sees something different in someone. People look for different things.

Brittney, why aren't you married?
My discussion with Kay, a 5 year old little girl I work with:
Kay: Brittney, are you married?
B: No.
Kay: Did he die?
B: No, I have never been married.
Kay: Why not?
B: I am only 20 and I just haven't found the right person yet.
K: Oh, well, I know a good boy to marry.
B:You do? (awww, this is so cute. I bet its a little boy in her preschool.)
K: Yea, his name is Alex. He is really silly. He plays on my dad's basketball team. You would like him. He would be really good to marry.

Update on Liar, Liar Pants on Fire
Her (the friend from the last blog) parents called again this morning. I told them I really didnt know where she was. They said they were thinking of kicking her out.
Honestly, her parents are terribly overprotective. They took her door off her room once when she talked to a guy on the phone late at night. She is 20 years old...come on.
BUT she knows I cant lie. Why did she do this? Julie and I warned her. We knew she would get caught. She just called. She is headed home now.

Liar, Liar Pants on Fire
I hate lying. I hate lying because not only cannot I not do it well, but the guilt devours me. I am 20 years old and found myself lying to one of my friend's parents. I am consumed with the guilt and terribly mad at my friend for getting me in this situation with her.
She is 20 years old and still has to lie to her parents if she is with a guy. I have been calling for quiet a bit and can't get a hold of her. I know her parents know that she wasnt with me this weekend. I also know she really a couple of hours away from home.
A part of me is concerned for her safety. Another part is concerned for whether or not I am going to be able to function with this lie. I know her parents are going to be looking for her.

Job Interview
I had a job interview that involved a spelling test, English test and typing test. The spelling test really threw me off. It was ten words that are often used a church. I should note that I was applying for a job at a church.
ANYWAY, I looked at the spelling words so long that I actually started changing them. I got home and found out I had spelled them right the first time. Except there was one word I had never heard before so I cant tell if I spelled it right or now.
I would like to think my blog, e-mails and instant messages are in no way a reflection of my grammar and spelling abilities. (Unfortunately, they probably are.)

!Save Arrested Development!
Go to this site
http://www.SaveOurBluths.com
Please. Pretty please.
Next Monday evening turn on Fox. I know I know. Fox isn't known for having the most credible news or particulary great shows, but I promise that on Mondays they have something going on.
It is this great hour long show called "Arrested Development". Except for some reason no one seems to really be loving it, but it deserves attention.
Ok, so you aren't feeling sorry for the show or Fox. Feel sorry for me then. Watch it for me. Turn to Fox on Mondays for me. I am not too proud to beg.
